Another drop-dead-gorgeous soap star enters fatherhood—and right around Father’s Day, how apt! Bryan Dattilo, best known for his role in the long-standing daytime drama Days of Our Lives, and his leading lady Elizabeth, welcomed a healthy baby gal into the world, reports SoapCentral.
And, oh my goodness, the star-studded couple chose the name Delila Dattilo.
Little DD’s name, of course, reminds us of those late-night drives when, fiddling with the nob, we just happen to land on that smooth, caring wise voice of Delilah (with an h, sung Deliiiiiiilahhhh with the pleasantest of vibratos on her show), who takes touching, live lonve-song dedications on-air. The radio personality’s full name is Delilah Rene and you absolutely know her, even if you don’t know her, if you’ve ever taken a driving-all-night-in-the-rain roadtrip.
Baby Delila will be joined by older half-sis Gabriel, a child from Dad’s past marriage.
Aligned perfectly with the baby-naming-trend we predicted for 2014, Delilah (also with an h here) is a name or Hebrew origin, one of those lesser-known biblical names we thought would be trending this year. The Hollywood parents put their own spin on the name by slightly changing the classic spelling. Delilah is daughter of the mistress Samson in the bible.
Congrats to the father of two and his lovely wife on the safe arrival of their precious baby girl.
