We could have a budding, new Olympic gymnast to foster here in the U.S. (no pressure, Baby S).
Olympic gold-medalist Shannon Miller, 36, and hubby John Falconetti, president of Jacksonville, Florida-based printing company, Drummond Press, recently brought a second baby into to the world, their first daughter, who was given the name Sterling Diane Falconetti, reported Us Weekly.
It’s a breath of good news for the family of three (now four), after the harrowing battle Mom Shannon triumphed over with ovarian cancer, during which she lost all her hair.
The bout of bad news, and subsequent surgery (to remove an ovary and cancerous cyst), forced the family’s growth plan onto the back-burner.
The baby girl’s unique name, Sterling Diane, is reportedly a tribute to the her great-great maternal grandfather, as well as her grandmother on her Papa’s side, according to People magazine.
Baby Sterling is welcomed by a big 3-year-old brother, who goes by the name Rocco. With names as fetching as Sterling and Rocco, these two were born to be celebrity babies, that or living-the-life characters in an unputdownable novel. Three–er, four!–cheers for the happy celebrity-athlete’s beautiful, budding family and her cancer-free happily-ever-after!
