Will Wolverine bad-guy Will Yun Lee become a softie, now that he is officially Father to a newborn son?
Unlikely, but he and actress wife Jennifer Birmingham Lee certainly did radiate much elation and pride as they took to the Twittersphere to announce the arrival of their first child, a baby boy. The Tinseltown couple, wed in 2010, named their baby boy Cash Yun, reported People.
The name is a shortened form of the Latin Cassius, meaning vain. As you know, Cash is also slang for money. It’s said that in 2003, after beloved country-music legend Jonny Cash died, the cowboy-friendly name catapulted to popularity. Use of the name dates back to the late 1800s when it was especially common in the Wild West.
The 42-year-old Korean-American heartthrob—voted into People‘s 2002 50 Most Beautiful People list and its 2007 15 Sexiest Men Alive list–posted this sentimental message to his 4,799 Twitter followers:
“The best day of our life is the arrival of our baby boy “Cash Yun Lee”. @jennbirmlee #forevergrateful”
His Louisiana sweetheart followed suit, posting this message, overflowing with unmistakable and palpable joy, to her 2,095 followers:
“Monday was EASILY the best day of our lives! Baby Cash has arrived!! We can’t be happier! Absolutely floating! @WillYunLee1 best daddy”
This big-sreen Daddy is set to emerge, guns ablazin’, in theaters on July 26, when The Wolverine is released.
We’re betting Cash Money (a common nickname for Cash) is going to make the ladies swoon when he’s all grown up–especially if he picks up Dad’s master martial-arts skills, which earned him a scholarship to UC Berkeley.
