Forty-six-year-old late-night comic Jimmy Kimmel will really be hurting for sleep, now–that he has become a new dad…again! The latest inductee into the second-marriage parenthood and his thirty-eight-year-old wife Molly McNearney, head writer on the midnight-owl show, delivered their first child together, reports People, a baby girl, Thursday.
The baby gal arrives just about one year after Mom and Dad entered wedded bliss.
The couple chose the celebrity baby name Jane. Reminding of us of that cool, hip-swaying ballad, “Sweet Jan,” the name Jane is the English cognate of the French names Jehanne and Jeanne, both feminine forms of Jean and Jean is the cognate of John. Ultimately, the name Jame means God is gracious and good, and, most certainly so is this precious little newborn Jane.
Jane, over the years, has had many turns at being the popular baby name. It was the name of the main character in the 1847 classic read, Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Bronte.
Sweet Baby Jane will find able protectors in two older sibs, children from Dad’s previous marriage. Older half-bro Kevin is 20 years old and older half-sis, Katie, is 22 years old.
Sending well wishes to the happy Hollywood family. We’re sure it’s going to be a long, laughter-filled ride for Sweet Baby Jan.
