The soapstar baby boom continues to explode as a cast member from The Young and the Restless moves on in real life to join the older and contented, heading a household teeming with tots. Steamy Steve Burton, who plays the character Dylan McAvoy on the daytime drama Y+R (though you may remember him as Jason Morgan on General Hospital) and his leading lady, Sheree, delivered a healthy, happy baby girl, their third child together, reports SoapOperaNetwork.
In keeping with the recent trend of naming babies after locations, from cities and towns to countries, the handsome couple named the latest addition to their family Brooklyn Faith Burton.
The real-people borough of New York City has long been a favorite place to name babies after. In fact, the year 2010 was probably the heyday of the baby name Brooklyn, when, according to Social Security data, the name Brooklyn ranked 34th most popular baby name chosen by Americans that year. And just in January of this year, famed former NFL player Tiki Barber and his wife named their little baby- bun Brooklyn. It’s also the name of Victoria and David Beckham’s boy (Brooklyn Joseph)
But now that Brooklyn prices, and attitudes, pretty much mirror Manhattan’s (hello, Park Slope), could we soon see an emergence of baby names like Bronx (like Bronx Mowgli, son to Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz), Chelsea, Noho, Harlem and/or Bed-stuy (“Sty” for short), Tribeca (nickname “Tribe”). Just saying….it could happen.
Mom and Dad’s newborn daughter will have fast companions in older sibs, Jack, who is 8 years old and Makena, who is 10 years old.
Congrats to the healthy, happy and expanding Hollywood family!
